Been kinda lazy these few weeks, perpetually only touching leather once a week. But the Maker Faire is coming up soon, and I have yet to prepare any goods to sell. Time to double up!
I thought that name card holders are relatively easier to do, so I decided to start from there. Images are actually from my second batch of holders, I had to chuck the first batch away as I got the sizing wrong. What a waste of good leather 🙁
Cutting out leather after scratching my template on to it.
Sorry, skipped a process. But here’s the card holders all ready for stitching after I have dyed them.
Burnished edges of my piece. Muahah! I think my photography skills are improving! I managed to take photos of my burnished edges.
Sweet sweet burnished edges. Nothing looks better than a burnished leather edge.
Ta-Da! The card holders are ready!!!!
So, as written, I’ll be having a booth at the Maker Faire Singapore @ Singapore University of Technology & Design, from the 25th – 26th June 2016, so if you are coming, do bring more cash, and remember to buy some stuff from me!
Till we meet again,
Have a great weekend!
